Location

The swim will take place on Greenwood and Dempster Beaches in Evanston, IL. Race start will be held on Dempster Beach.

Directions

From North Suburbs (Highland Park, Northbrook) 
Take US-41 south, merge on to I-94 East. Take exit 34A for US-41 towards Skokie Rd. Make a slight right onto US-41/ Skokie Blvd. Turn left onto Dempster St. Make a left onto Chicago Ave. Turn right onto Church St. Take Church St to Centennial Park, corner of Church and Sheridan Rd. 

From Northwest Suburbs (Des Plaines, Mt. Prospect) 
Take Dempster/ US-14 east. Make a left onto Chicago Ave. Turn right onto Church St. Take Church St to Centennial Park. Head south on Sheridan to the corner of Davis St. and Sheridan Rd.

From West and South Suburbs (Elmhurst, Oak Lawn) 
Take I-294 North towards Wisconsin. Exit at Dempster/ US-14 East. Take Dempster/ US-14 east. Make a left onto Chicago Ave. Turn right onto Church St. Take Church St to Centennial Park. Head south on Sheridan to the corner of Davis St. and Sheridan Rd.

From Chicago
Take US-41/ Lake Shore Drive north. Make a right onto Sheridan Rd. Continue to follow Sheridan Rd until it becomes South Blvd. Make a right onto Chicago Ave. Take Chicago Ave. thru Evanston to Church St. Make a right on Church St and take that to Centennial Park. Head south on Sheridan to the corner of Davis St. and Sheridan Rd. 

CTA Public Transportation
There is a Purple line stop at Davis. Walk east on Davis St. to Dawes Park, corner of Davis St. and Sheridan Rd. Walk is roughly ¾ of a mile. 

Metra Trains
Metra Union Pacific / North Line (UO-N) Davis Street is the closest stop to Downtown Evanston hotels and Greenwood St. beach. Walk east on Davis St. to Dawes Park, corner of Davis St. and Sheridan Rd. Walk is roughly ¾ of a mile.

Parking
Parking is located on city streets surrounding Greenwood and Dempster St Beach. Swimmers may also park at the Northwestern University parking garage located on Campus Drive, just off of Sheridan. (North of the race site.) We will have signs to help direct people to the garage. There are also some paid parking lots in downtown Evanston.
